A pair of women have been seen allegedly stealing clothes from a charity recycling bin.
The incident, which is said to have taken place in a supermarket car park, has sparked a mixed reaction.
The two women were captured on camera, appearing to take clothes from a charity recycling bin.
Mobile phone footage of the pair outside Asda has emerged on social media this week.
It seems to show the women repeatedly putting their hand inside the large blue metal container before retrieving items, sizing them up and then placing them inside their bags for life or returning them, reports StokeonTrentLive.
The short clip filmed in Crewe sparked a storm when it was uploaded on Crewe Tube News and Media's Facebook page last week.
While many had sympathy for the 'desperate measures' the women have taken, others were outraged that they would help themselves to charitable donations.

One man said: "Have you ever thought that this might be the only way they have to clothe themselves or their kids?
"It could be the lowest day of their lives but some people think it's right to call them out for it.
"Be more thoughtful - everyone is fighting a battle you cannot see."
Another woman said: "I hate stealing but in this situation I just feel sorry for them.
"I guess they do need them otherwise wouldn't try to steal." Crimes Caught on Camera
And a third added: "Does it matter if someone who needs them takes the clothes?
"It doesn't matter to me.
"If I wanted them to go to a particular charity, I'd take them there myself.
"If you donate to generic clothes disposal units, you lose a say over who takes or uses them."
However, other members of the Facebook group were less sympathetic and suggested they were not taking the items for themselves but to sell on.
One man claimed that he had seen thefts from other recycling bins across Crewe, including at Morrisons and Tesco.

He said: "They are not doing it to help themselves out or their kids.
"If they were, they would actually go to the help groups they do that for people who are not well off.
"They are doing it en masse to sell to the shops that buy clothing and shoes.
"People in need don’t rob from charity bins or from outside of charity shops."
Another man added: "The bins are there to gather the clothes to then be distributed to charities who give them out to the people in need.
"These people are robbing bins to sell them to get money from shops that buy clothes for cash."
Another woman added: "Times are tough for pretty much everyone.
"We all go skint from time to time but stealing is disgusting from a shop or charity bins."
And a man said: "No matter how much they need them, it's stealing.
"The clothes have been left in a charity bin.

"Therefore they are not theirs but the charities.
"It's stealing no matter what."
Clothing recycling bins are often placed in the car parks of supermarkets for customers to donate unwanted clothes and textiles but have to be placed there with permission.
